Blue skies and warm sun accompanied us for our journey north. After a lunch stop at Taihape we enjoyed breath-taking views of Mt. Ruapehu as we skirted around Tongariro National Park heading towards Whakapapa. We all jumped out part way along the Desert Rd. so Mr. Collier could give a brief talk about the geography of the region.
After arrival at Whakapapa we set up tents and sorted out cabins before
heading off across old lava flows, under light rain, to the Taranaki Falls. The very keen went for a swim in the icy waters before heading back to camp for dinner.

Taranaki Falls looked like a good place to play Canoe Polo James. Have fun.

Hi everyone. It's great to see you using some ICT's as part of your trip. I'm sure we can use this blog as an example to other staff of the possibilities that are available to them.
